Of course, Lucas was oblivious to how much the object meant to the other. For all he knew, it could have been passed down onto him from his dad or something. He did say he had it for a long time, so that might be the case. He wasn’t sure if he should ask about it, however. What if he brought up a painful memory or something? Typical Lucas, really - always thinking about what not to say.
Lucas stuffed his hands in his pocket once the handkerchief was folded into the other’s hands. “Now I’m really glad I could get it to you. I think I would have had a heart attack if I lost track of something that precious to me,” he responded. A sheepish chuckle then came as he realized - should he introduce himself…? Might as well. “My name’s Lucas, by the way.”
Had it not been for that handkerchief he always had with him, maybe he would have been named something else back then when he was stolen away from his family– Father, rather, for he found no information regarding his mother… Whoever she might have been. Even when he knew who it was from, he still kept it with him. If he lost it, it wouldn’t be just himself unhappy over it.
Surely he’d be scolded by a certain Evolver when she knew he was so careful and organized. (Gently, of course.)
“I suppose so…” Would he have reacted the same? Not quite ‘heart attack’, but he would have been worried, to say the very least. Even in the most dangerous of situations, the red haired teen still found it in himself to keep calm to some degree. “My name is Silver. Thank you again for returning this, Lucas.”
