i was helping your mother clean since you're not here
we ended up finding a photo book of your baby pictures, but i'm sure you don't mind if we look through it.
i have to admit your mom has a lot of interesting stories about you though
He had to admit that helping Gold’s mother wasn’t anything out of the ordinary at this point when she allowed him to stay over so often… But the kindness she gave him was definitely something to get used to. (Something her son most definitely picked up on, considering his personality.) Silver had never been one for reminiscing considering there wasn’t much to look back on in his own past– But listening was another story; seeing someone so enthusiastic to talk about fond memories… Perhaps he was a bit jealous.
The redhead could only sigh out a bit, flipping through the pages of the photo book from where he sat in the living room. The older woman had left him to sit on the couch to go make some tea, telling him it was ‘alright to continue looking at pictures of her darling son’.
He hadn’t known Gold until a few years ago, but a part of him sort of expected these kind of pictures– Him being surrounded with the various pokemon he had grown up with, dirty from playing outside and whatnot. And yet, even though it was expected, Silver still felt amused going through the photos.
'There’s hardly any pictures of his father…’
Kind of ironic, wasn’t it? Silver had no mother, and Gold’s father was… Who knows where. They fit each other, almost.
“Silver dear, how much sugar do you like in your tea? Oh– And can you ask Gold if he’s coming home tonight, please?”
“Ah– Yes, of course.”
