A sigh from her, a downcast glance to the side, and her eyes closed. Gulping – god, did her throat feel dry, for the reason she would only state was the uncertainty of the situation. It’s not every day that Crystal tries to find a way to excuse Giovanni’s actions, and she doesn’t mean to try in the slightest, but the words left her mouth – “He came to save us, you know, back then. He can’t be completely bad.” – before she can stop them.
Silver has the right to be upset, though. His father is the reason for most of his hardship in life, she’ll admit it’s clear as day that he is. Still, she wants to think that everyone has at least one redeeming quality, whether it’s plausible or not, and she doesn’t want to accept that, yes, Giovanni has nothing good on his mind when it comes to Johto, let alone Silver.

Though not to the degree of Pryce, it was something that Silver preferred not to speak of unless he himself brought it up for whatever reason. ( That in itself was unlikely, for he was a stubborn child who desired to deal with problems such as that on his own– If the events dealing with Team Rocket years ago was any inclination. )
Being the kind person she was, of course the heir knew that somewhere in her she liked to believe that there was kindness in every person, no matter how terrible. This was something that Silver saw in many of the faces of the Dexholders, even himself– But for some, he restrained this kind of hopefulness.
He couldn’t bring himself to be angry with her. His reaction was merely instinctive, unsure of how to deal with the sudden topic of his FATHER.

Those words are spoken with hesitance, however. Memories flash through his head: the memory of Giovanni saving him from the fire and sacrificing his own body for him, Giovanni saving himself and his friends just as Crystal had brought up, even inviting him back into his life to work alongside him.
