     He doesn’t mean harm in his words, but the statements feel like knives either way, digging into her back. She’ll nod her head, though, out of simple understanding, not wanting to overstep her boundaries – he’s got a valid point, the issue at hand is familial, something she should keep out of, but, at this point, she feels like it’s almost her responsibility to be there for him, to stand beside him in whatever issues he deals with, the three of them are like family because of the hardships they’ve faced and she wants to believe that he feels the same.

     Even if he doesn’t, she’ll continue to feel as if he’s a brother to her. It just seems proper.

     “I never meant to make you think that I thought that you did. You think logically, you wouldn’t just throw yourself into something without being prepared, I don’t think you that naive, but –”

       – but I want to be there for you. 

     The words don’t leave her lips, and instead sit trapped behind a tongue too afraid to tell the truth, behind the smile of a girl that has herself so emotionally invested in their friendship that she doesn’t want to offend him.

     “… I get that. I’m sorry, I’ll.. stay out of it, I guess.” A small smile, and she grips his hand in return, smiling wide, swallowing.

     “I’m always supporting you, Silver. No matter what you do.” Just don’t leave without letting us know you are.

‘Family’ was not a topic that Silver usually thought over or understood completely, for the only person he could call his family for so long was Blue– However, as the years passed and they both found their way in life, this only became something that Silver alone could not completely process when Blue had found her family she had been taken from long ago. Even though he knew his roots and where he came from, this in turn only made Silver feel more lost and disgusted that perhaps it was a good thing Pryce had stolen him. Had he not been stolen… What would he have turn into?

A twisted, selfish heir who would crush all that stood in his way?

For a moment, curiosity caused the male’s lower lip to pucker out, studying Crystal’s face. It felt as if he wanted to say something, but whatever was on her mind didn’t dare leave her lips– Instead, she smiled, and said words of support.
