Months had passed since the events of Sinjoh Ruins, but no matter how hard he worked himself, or how much he aimed to busy himself with other things, there still seemed to be a lingering difficulty; a voice in the back of his head ( Or perhaps it was Gold’s; maybe Crystals? ) That told him what he should’ve stopped what he was doing. This wasn’t the best idea imaginable, but it was all he felt he could’ve chose back in that moment.
Giovanni staring him down waiting for his response, the satisfaction on his face in agreeing, the look of PAIN on Crystal, Gold, even Lance when he went to join his side; to join Team Rocket.
He had a plan. If he just worked with Giovanni for a while and helped him, acted as a son should while Team Rocket did their dirty work, he’d wait for the opportune moment… Even if it meant doing unsavory things. It wasn’t as if it wasn’t something he wasn’t used to, for he had done it once before under the hand of Pryce.
