The light tap on his shoulder was enough to evoke him to quickly take a side step away from the stranger, alerted by the short-lived closeness — at least it was more of a false alarm, what a relief. Nothing serious, just an idiot not knowing where to go. Exhaling briefly, the brunet glanced to the map and back to the redhead, offering a light-hearted shrug. “Sure. I live here.”

Relief seems to flicker in the heir’s eyes at the confirmation he was hoping for, lowering his gaze to the map in his hand before lifting it up and opening it slowly. It wasn’t like him to travel outside of his region when his father had still been nowhere to be seen– but it was most likely precisely that which caused him to end up traveling here with his pokemon. Giovanni was a strange man he had never understood (and probably never would), so it wouldn’t of been farfetched enough to say he would come here.
“I’m trying to find my way to Castelia, but I’ve been told this isn’t the correct city.” he told the Unovan before him. “If you could lead me there it’d be appreciated.” And after that he could go back to not bothering with ridiculous strangers whatsoever, especially when half of the time he was here kept on mockingly calling him ‘red’.
