Listening intently to the piece of information that was of utmost importance to him, the boy hummed quietly in confirmation. A Honchkrow, huh? Personally, he hadn’t had anything to do with those yet, but he knew from books and other sources that those Flying-types were extremely stubborn and proud. It wouldn’t surprise him if it was true what the redhead said; that the creature was stubborn and didn’t want to appear weak in front of anyone. Maybe the other wasn’t so bad then? Hard to tell at this point. Perhaps it would just be the best option to keep his guard up and watch over the redhead’s moves. If he made a wrong one, he could still make hi pay and teach him a lesson on proper behaviour! Ah, such a fun thought— But it still had to wait. First he needed to guide the stranger to Castelia, then he could do whatever he wanted, including some extra educational measures!

He was out on a job anyway, so why not treat himself to some additional fun, right? The thought put him into a better mood, just as he accepted the map and spread it out wide enough to cover the area of Mistralton and Driftveil City, while he continued to keep an ear on whatever the redhead might say, though he hadn’t quite counted an a name. Silver. Wow, so not impressive. Whoever his parents were, they surely hadn’t possessed any creativity in naming their son. “Mhh, I’m Touya… It’s nice to meet you, Silver! ♪” he looked up from the map and regarded the redhead with a bright smile.

Well, they’d see if it was really nice to meet each other sooner or later, but for now he would settle on a neutral point of view. Motioning Silver to pay attention, he brushed his index finger along the map, carefully tracing the path from Mistralton City to Chargestone Cave. “This is gonna be our first destination. Chargestone Cave connects Mistralton City with Route 6 leading to Driftveil City.” After a brief look about, the boy sighed deeply. Huh, it really might take a whole day to reach Driftveil City… “It’ll take a few hours to get through the cave, it’s kinda special and brimming with Electric-Types. You better have some Repels with you, Silver. ♪” Explaining like that sure took him back in time… He could still remember the many times he and Touko had trained to read maps, coming up with fake travel routes just to keep each other entertained and in training. Kind of sad if he thought about for what he used said knowledge nowadays. But it couldn’t be helped, nor did he regret it. This was the path he had chosen. He wouldn’t change anything about it, no. “Well, if you’re ready, we can head off. But I doubt we’ll get out of the cave before dusk.”

Touya, huh– It sounded normal enough. Not that the redhead could say the same for himself, of course. Often he would get snickers and inquries if his parents had hated him and thus had given him such a name, but considering who the parent he had left was… Such a thought was possible all things considered. Giovanni wasn’t the best parent by far, but he also had his moments in the past where he showed he could care, albeit in the end he was still thinking of ways for Silver to just take on his responsibilities in Team Rocket. He didn’t want anything to do with them, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t escape getting involved with them. His last name was a permanent reminder of that he was forever tied to the infamy that was Team Rocket and had done his fair share of criminal ordeals to be just as terrible as the man that was his father. Oh well, being teased for his rather unoriginal name was better than immediately cast aside as a bad person because of who he was related to, after all.

Namesake hues watched as the brunet’s finger traced over the map in the direction they would be heading since Touya was bothering to be kind enough to show him the way, staring carefully as if making a mental note to himself. Just in case. If they were to stray away from that path, that didn’t mean anything good and he would just be farther away from his destination and this slightly unnerving person named Touya needed to be ditched immediately. This wasn’t something he hadn’t done before anyway, so it didn’t bother him any to do so if he had to. The cave admittedly sounded interesting… Electricity was much better than the ice in the cave one had to go through to get to Claire’s city with the Dragon’s Den.

“I’ll keep the warning in mind.”

With that, Silver began to fold the map back up from how it had been before opening it, turning his head to meet Touya’s gaze and give a slight cant of his head. “I guess that means you lead the way since I’m new here, Touya.” he told said ex-trainer, his words almost sounding as an insinuation to start walking or doing something. “I’m ready when you are. I travel light anyway.” A bit too light, but oh well.
